Portrait of Love lyrics - Billy Crocket

PORTRAIT OF LOVE
by: Billy Crockett

He wouldn't sit still long enough
To have His portrait done
His heart was set to move His life
At twice the speed of love

Artists who tried to freeze His style
On canvas or in stone
Found that real life
Isn't still life
Even when that life's alone

A traveling artist known as Paul
Painted truth with words
The truth that he saw was burning love
That comforts and disturbs

Each year he grew until he knew
The portrait couldn't wait
Without a sound
The man sat down
And he began to paint

Love is patient, love is kind
Never jealous, free of pride
Love will never be confine
And love will abide
Love is hopeful, love's not blind
Love is faithful, every time
Love is Someone, and
If you'll open your eyes, you'll find
That love is alive

Now love's gonna stand the test of time
Gonna stand when time is spent
Just look at the portrait painted
It's the Son the Father sent

He is patient, He is kind
Never jealous, free of pride
He will never be confine
And He will abide
Love is hopeful, love's not blind
Love is faithful, every time
Love is Someone, and
If you look in His eyes, you'll find
That love is alive

Love is Someone, and
If you look in His eyes, you'll find
Love is alive

Arg Notes #35: CANDY CRUSH

Before my memory take this list away from me, I want to list down the people who had given me so much to remember during my childhood years till the present.

Alam na. Nakakatakot lagyan ng topic ang blog post na ito, LOL

Grade 1 - Christine Gatdula
Grade 2 - Christine Gatdula

Christine Gatdula

I really don't why am I obsessed with girls on the top list.  She was a consistent top student every quarter and believe it or not - I had my first ever dance with her. As far as I remember, it was during an activity at school. Our class was supposed to perform and luckily I got her a partner. "Swing" - am I correct? :s That's the type of dance we performed. Nothing happened obviously as I don't have any idea to make "ligaw" pa noon. LOL.  She has the smile who can make you wonder off in heaven. She has the brains and she was one of the "black beauties" I will never forget.

Grade 3 - Raiza Medina
Grade 4 - Raiza Medina
Raiza Medina

Ms. Raiza Medina - one of the most simple yet cute looking classmate I've ever had since elementary years. She's usually with her bestfriend Rona Sancho and whenever there's a guy who would want to make "porma" to her, they must befriend her best friend first. I admire this person for her radiant smile and of course - her brains. No wonder she became a UP graduate :p

Grade 5 - Dia Monton

Till now I can't even search the facebook page of this girl. I saw her once when I was still employed in French Baker Sm Bacoor. She's with her mom and hmmm.....she looks simple yet cute. The first "chinita" that I liked. She's not that skinny or rather chubby. Yung tipong sakto lang, Shy type but when you becomes her friend, you'll know the"laughing out loud" side of her life.

Grade 6 - Alpha Felix
1st Year - Alpha Felix

..and this girl. Bubbly, friendly, sexy (before) lol, sporty, fun to be with, extrovert, studious, humurous, food trip buddy, leader type,  - name it.
Since ELC, (the school I went to my whole HS years), has been lacking potential gf-type candidates and obviously has a chicks shortage, this girl has been the center of any guy related feud. lol part 2.

2nd Year - I'm not really sure if it's Alpha / Jewel / or Myka?

Here's our story.

I've been sent to Lingayen, Pangasinan to be a representative of our school in the NSC (National Student Convention - ACE) and since I was the only player of our school - I'm all alone. Thanks to my father who managed to look for a christian household for me to reside during the week. I was left alone but luckily I was joined by students from other schools who will also be staying in the house with me.

TRLA - I can never forget this name. The Risen Lord Academy.

My teenage years has been full of sports activities and one of those is volleyball. My favorite player in the olympics in those days was  Leila Barros of Brazil.

While watching a volleyball match in the sports complex, I saw this girl - Myka Alcausin. My friend and I was so eager to watch her and look at her every move. It was a candy crush :s

Since then - there seems a Divine intervention that made us "communicate" more with each other. To the extent that she even became closer to my mom than me. I don't know. I like her but not to the point that I loved her. It's good to be honest sometimes to avoid breaking hearts.

3rd Year - Jewel Jemina
4th Year - Jessica Ann Constantino
College - Jessica Ann Constantino
Present - Jessica Ann Constantino

Cavite Youth Fellowship.
Year started: ????

These are the  youth groups from different churches across the province of Cavite.

We are not a youth group from mega churches.
We are from a bible believing church. Born- again, evangelical, baptist, what ever you call it. We are all saved by grace.

Justinville Christian Fellowship
Messiah Bible Christian Church
Cavite City Christian Fellowship
Amadeo Christian Fellowship
GMA Christian Fellowship

The Great Comission Christian Church
Meadowood Christian Fellowship

I may not be "super-close" to these guys on a bestfriend level but I'm proud to say they are my family. My ministry is revolving around them and I dream of helping these churches accelerate the growth of its youth ministry.

Arg Notes #34: Jesus take the wheel

05.07.2013

Cold afternoon. Hungry. Noise coveted area. I was deeply focused on what I am doing the whole day - the endless input of the sales summary. My mind is  partly damaged of this stress I'm experiencing. It seems motivation is partly to blame for this.

Then this unexpected part happened. As my office mate was singing, it slipped my mind - the very first and only song that she sung to me.

Jesus, Take the Wheel
(James/Lindsey/Sampson)

She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy with the baby in the backseat
Fifty miles to go and she was running low on faith and gasoline
It'd been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
she was going way too fast
Before she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was sooo scared
She threw her hands up in the air

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel

It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat sleeping like a rock
And for the first time in a long time
She bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been living my life
I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
Ooh, Jesus take the wheel
Ooh, I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
From this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel
Ooh, take it, take it from me
Ooh ooh wah ah ooh ooh ooh

Thanks Cowboy lyrics!

I still remember her exact facial expression and the way she sung this to me. It's sincere. It's heavenly. Kilig much. Priceless. She's the type of person who doesn't sing in public so I assume she singing for me personally was really a diving blessing.

No, Not this one.

It was a good memory.

My dream legacy

This is what I want to see in my life in the future. My joy and my legacy.
Life is short so I want it to be meaningful. A life without selfishness and a life of service.

I drew a chapel on the bottom part of the paper. As you can see, I was the one standing on the pulpit. I want to be an elder someday - someone who can lead the flock and guide them by my God given gifts. I don't want to be someone who looks bossy and regarded as a high level Christian in whom you can't spend time with if you are not a mature Christian. My heart is for the flock and I find happiness in helping them grow in His word.

On the left side of the chapel are the bubble looking figures with stick men inside of it. They are my interpretation of Discipleship. Right now I'm training disciples. Right Donn Joshua Nalian Atoy Jeric Rence Aaron Caleb Jeffrey?

I want to see them leading someday their own DGroups and so on. My life has not been perfect ever since and will never be. I may have mistakes but it's the heart of mine that is what I want to give them. A heart for the church.

You can find numerous people in the camps - honor students and ones with jaw dropping gifts. Sorry but I find it meaningless if you are the type of person who doesn't have the heart for His service. An honor student is a non-sense if his/her learning cannot be used in His kingdom. Waste of time. You cannot force a pig to prioritize a silver ring, it's nothing for Him.

I want to disciple people who will have a heart for the ministry.

On the right side of the chapel is a 2 storey building. The first level would be our family business - a Cafeteria. Venti mocha frappe anyone? How about milk tea? Veggies? Name it. It would be a cool hangout for Christians in the area, especially those who are health conscious.

The 2nd level would be my own recording studio. I want to support Filipino Christian bands. It/s our time to shine and not just to rely on foreign ones. We have to focus popularizing our own OPM. This place would also be our rehearsal studio for our music team.

Let's move up. On the far right in the middle of the page are 3 school buildings. Then on the center is a Mcdo fastfood. Any speculations? Your right. I want to start an inter-campus ministry. Simple as this - I want to have small groups from different campuses then have a regular meeting on a certain place. Mcdo? Starbucks? A place where they can share experiences or even encouragements to strengthen up their student life as Christians.

Right side. Center. Guess what? It's one of my favorite place here in the Philippines. Emmaus Bible Camp in Bulacan. I want to be a teacher there someday. I grew up attending childrens camp then up to CTC (well hopefully by that time I already finished my 5th term). I want to share my life to them. Teaching is my passion and my service is for Him.

Lastly, on the upper part of the paper is a drawing of the world. I'm an occasional traveler (mostly on my dreams). There are 3 arrows pointing on the globe. One is a picture of mountains. Hey, those are not melted kisses. I want to go back to Palawan and continue my God-given heart beat during my stay there. Church visitations and sharing the gospel on its mountainous area is what I find exciting and a sensible life.

Another picture is a concert. I want to join or even have my band to play songs on different parts of Asia. I want to popularize Christian music. YEAH ROCK! lol joke.

On the picture on the right is a drawing of a chapel.

I want to be like Paul! I want to travel to visit and encourage churches.

Lastly, I want to have a God-given and a God-inspired wife who would be with me as I go through this exciting points of my life. A wife whom I would love will all my heart. The only person whom I will cherish next to my God. A partner in all my success. The one who would wake me up in the middle of the night on the times I forgot to have my night devotions.

Thanks to my parents for teaching me that life is short and true happiness can only be found in serving Christ.

Arg Notes #33: NEW CRUSH ALERT!

Watched an old movie (well it's kinda last year only) yesterday and boom I've just rated it 6 stars! I'm an avid fan of acapella music and I seem to like their mash-up songs.

Beca, a freshman at Barden University, is cajoled into joining The Bellas, her school's all-girls singing group. Injecting some much needed energy into their repertoire, The Bellas take on their male rivals in a campus competition.

Director:
Jason Moore
Writers:
Kay Cannon (screenplay), Mickey Rapkin (based on the book by)

Stars: Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp
| See full cast and crew

Crush alert! Honestly, aside from the cleavage exposing style, she was perfect - outwardly.

I love her voice, her cool-girl style, and especially the way she express herself.
